Have you ever felt tired? Exhausted? Ready to give up?
We’ve all felt that way before. Maybe you’ve just dealt with a family emergency, or you’ve given out so much at church that you are spent. Life does that to us. It weighs us down and wears us out. And in the time of quarantining and isolating, it may have impacted us more than we even know. It can be difficult to run the race God has set before us if we don’t have the strength.
Even the Bible tells us life won’t be easy. John 16:33 tells us that we will have troubles in this world. Things will go wrong. People will leave us. We won’t get what we expect. But as we continue in the verse, we find encouragement. We may face troubles in this world, but God has overcome this world! We can rest in knowing that whatever happens to us in life, God will come out on top. He’s the victor in everything, and when we choose the life, He has for us, that means we are included in that victory. It may not always look like we think it should, or happen the way we want it to, but victory is ours when we choose Christ.
When we strive to live as God calls us to, he meets us halfway. When we look to Him in our weakness, He gives us the strength to go on. As we cry out to Him, He comes closer to us.
So, if you’re tired and ready to give up, call out to Jesus. He will give you the strength you need, and empower you to live the life He has for you.
