Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of those injured and killed in strife in the US around the world. In times like this, and in times of tragedy in our own lives, it’s difficult to understand why this pain and suffering continues to happen. As believers, we should trust in the Lord’s strength during these times and be in fervent prayer. Today, we stand in reverence and lift up our nation in prayer.
The Bible says to “Mourn with those who are mourning, and weep with those who are weeping.”
America has suffered a tremendous amount of loss this week, lift up the hurting and the broken; stand united with your neighbors.
Join us as we pray for the families, husbands, wives, children, and friends who have lost something irreplaceable in their lives. These verses help us in times of mourning and difficulty.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. – Matthew 5:4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we receive from God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28
